Our Day School Christmas Pageant is Coming!

Our teachers and students are participating in many holiday activities: crafts, creating gifts, enjoying special treats, learning Christmas songs, and hearing the story of the birth of Jesus.

We have been practicing several songs for our Christmas Pageant and this week we began rehearsing in the Church.

Our Pageant will take place on Wednesday, December 17th at 10am in the Church.

Reverend Rich will be telling the Nativity Story while several students act out the parts. The rest of our students will stand on the altar and sing songs that help to tell the story.

We hope that everyone will come out to see our performance. The children are working hard and having a lot of fun acting out the story and learning these special songs.  We are sure their pure hearts and voices will fill you with the Christmas spirit.

To the parents of the students of St. Michael's Day School please keep the following information in mind for our pageant:

--Feel free to dress your child in their "Sunday best." We want them to shine as bright as stars!--Bring your child to class at 9am as usual. Be sure to sign them in. FOR VPK PARENTS,  If you will NOT be at school on the following Thursday/Friday you will need to sign the VPK Choice book -- the black binder. You should sign it the last day in December your child will be at school.--The performance will last around 30-40 minutes.--After the performance please come to your child's classroom to sign them out.--Join us in the breezeway to meet a special guest...shhh!!...it might just be St. Nick!--You are welcome to take pictures during the pageant but please note that the lighting is very dim. You might want to take photos after the performance instead.

Our 5day VPK class will have class on Thursday and everyone will be in class on Friday. Then we will be off for our Christmas Break.

Remember to read to your child over the break! There are many wonderful holiday stories to share.

We hope you have a safe, healthy, and happy Winter Break.

We wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Our Chapel Feet for October

The Bread of the Might Food Bank

This month our students are learning how to be generous and thoughtful by collecting non-perishable goods for The Bread of the Mighty Food Bank.

We enjoyed having representatives of the food bank teach us about the hungry people in our community and how we can help.  They introduced us to the character "Kate" and taught us that Kate doesn't have enough food to eat.

Our students were challenged to think of foods they enjoyed that Kate might enjoy too.

We will collect non-perishable food all month for The Bread of the Mighty Food Bank.

Thank You Magic Mike!

Our teachers and students enjoyed a performance by Magic Mike today.  We were amazed and thrilled and entertained!  Our students were very well behaved and completely captivated.  They laughed so hard and were so enthusiastic! It was such a pleasure to watch their joy and wonder.

We want to thank www.fun4gatorkids.com , Magic Mike, and all of the families that voted in the fun4gatorkids contest to help us win this very special presentation.

Check out "Jasmine Jelly" and "Prince Peanut Butter" helping Magic Mike.

And another assistant helped make ketchup disappear!

What a fun morning!
