Thank you for attending Spring Sing

Thank you to all of the families that came out for our Spring Sing and Art Show.

The weather was quite chilly and we were sad to cancel our potluck lunch, but nothing could dampen the spirits of the teachers and children!

Everyone was decked out in their finest attire! The children did a great job during their concert and the artwork certainly brightened up our walkways and made us all smile!

Ms. Amanda worked with the Purple Peacock students and parents to create a one of a kind quilt! Each square was constructed by a student. The back of the quilt was "squirt painted" last summer during our camp! Ms. Amanda worked very hard to put the entire art piece together! It is spectacular! The class plans to donate it to a local charity. If you know of an organization that would love it like we do please let us know!

Great job everyone!

Enjoy your spring break. We will see you all on Monday, April 1st! (No foolin'!)

We welcome you to our Spring Sing and Art Show

Spring Sing and Art Show

Whope you are enjoying this beautiful spring weather! The children and teachers have explored a lot of interesting spring happenings on our playground. The Purple Peacocks created bird feeders a few weeks ago and Ms. Amanda hung them outside each of the classrooms.

Friday, March 22nd  is our Spring Sing and Art Show. Parents will bring their child to class at 9am like usual.

They will sign them in AND for VPK families - sign the black binder, or “CHOICE book,” for March.

Parents should feel free to dress their child in their "Sunday best," for some great photos.  After the children are dropped off, families can take time to look at all of the great art work in our art show. We will be hanging the art starting at the school office and going all the way down the breezeway to the church.  We plan to hang the art by class so it is easy to find. Each child will have 4 pieces of artwork hanging up.   Around 9:30 or 9:45 you can find your seat inside the church. We hope to provide a guide that will show you where the children will be onstage--look for it in front of each classroom. The children will sing 4 songs. They have been practicing A LOT!

After the performance, the teachers will take the children back to their classrooms. Families can sign them out from there. After they are signed out, families can go back to look at the artwork or enjoy refreshments on the playground.
Keep an eye out for sign ups for our potluck lunch.

On the way home, families should stop and collect the 4 pieces of artwork done by their... child. Just unclip them from our gallery! We ask that you wait until you are ready to leave so that all the families can enjoy the art!

We hope that all of the St. Michael's families have a wonderful and SAFE Spring Break! See you April!

Please feel free to let us know if you have any questions!

March Community Service Project

Spring is around the corner and lots of exciting things are happening at St. Michael's Day School!

This month our community service project is to help raise awareness and funds for Children’s Miracle Network benefiting Shand’s Children’s Hospital at UF. Ms Kelly's son, Tyler, is a miracle child ambassador for CMN and will be coming to tell our students what Children's Miracle Network is and who it helps from a child's perspective. We will be selling “balloon” cards to post in our windows and enjoying a bake sale during the month of March! At the end of the month we will have a class celebration in each of the classes in appreciation for helping raise funds FTK (For The Kids)!

Our school is collecting donations for this wonderful charity. You can purchase a Children’s Miracle Network hot air balloon to hang in our window. The suggested donation for each balloon is $1, but you can choose the amount that is right for your family. Your child can write their name on the balloon and your child’s teachers will place it in the window!
Let’s fill our windows with balloons of hope and healing for the children in our community.
